Which Football Prediction Game Should You Choose?
Score-prediction games are not all the same. The difference shows up in how many scoring tiers there are, how much a match tells you before kickoff, whether it carries your friend group, and whether money is involved. The table below puts those four criteria side by side.
Short answer: tiered scoring and no money involved
Single-tier scoring (right or wrong) never rewards getting close, and the race is over by mid-week. Tiered scoring keeps everyone in it until the last match.

How many scoring tiers?
Getting a score exactly right is hard. With a single tier (only the exact score counts) most weeks leave everyone near zero and the table stops moving.
Guess League uses five tiers: exact score 5, side and closeness 3, correct side 2, closeness 1, wrong 0. Predict 3-1 and a 3-2 result still scores.
How much does it tell you before kickoff?
Predicting with knowledge takes more than a score box: the last matches of both sides, who is injured or suspended, and the line-ups once announced.
