Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-02 · effective 02/08/2026
1. Parties, Definitions and Scope of the Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are entered into between Guess League ("Guess League", "we") and the individual who uses the Guess League application and the services under the guessleague.net domain (the "User", "you"), upon the User's acceptance during registration.
Definitions used in this document:
- Service: the Guess League web and mobile application, the promotional website, and the related backend services.
- Prediction: a statement made by the User inside the application about the outcome of a football match.
- Room: a private competition space that Users enter by invitation or join code and in which they compete with each other.
- League: the football competition that predictions relate to, together with its standings table.
- Trophies and badges: symbolic achievement marks displayed inside the application that carry no economic value whatsoever.
Guess League is a free game of skill and entertainment in which football match outcomes are predicted. The Service is not a game of chance, gambling or a betting service; see our Not Gambling page for the full explanation.
By using the Service you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.
2. Age Requirement
The Service is intended only for persons who are 18 years of age or older. By registering you are deemed to declare that you are over 18. We do not verify age; your declaration is relied upon.
If we determine that you are under 18, your account will be closed and the personal data belonging to it will be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice. We do not knowingly process children's data.
3. Account Rules
- One account: each User may open only one account. Multiple accounts held by the same person are prohibited because they undermine the fairness of the competition.
- Username: your username is visible to others. Usernames that are insulting, discriminatory, obscene, threatening or criminal in nature; that impersonate another person, institution or brand; or that misleadingly suggest you are a Guess League representative may not be used. We may change usernames that breach this rule, with notice.
- Non-transferable: an account is personal. It may not be sold, rented, transferred or shared.
- Security: you are responsible for keeping your password and any means of access to your account confidential. If you notice activity on your account that you did not authorise, you must report it immediately to support@guessleague.net.
- Accurate information: the email address you provide at registration must belong to you and be accessible, as password resets and important notices are sent there.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following are prohibited while using the Service:
- Multiple accounts: opening a second account, opening an account on behalf of someone else, or using another person's account.
- Automation and bots: using software, scripts, macros or any other tool that generates predictions automatically; calling the Service by non-human means; attempting to bypass bot protection.
- Manipulation: attempting to influence points, standings, trophies or room results by means outside genuine play; colluding; passing predictions to another person.
- Harassment in rooms: insults, threats, harassment, degradation based on gender, race or belief, persistent unwanted contact, or unsolicited advertising in rooms and comment areas.
- Technical attacks and load: reverse engineering the Service, attempting to circumvent security measures, attempting unauthorised access to source code or to other users' data, burdening the Service with excessive requests, or scraping data.
- Unlawful use: committing offences through the Service, infringing copyright, or attempting to use the Service for gambling or betting purposes.
Where these rules are breached, we apply the measures set out in section 8.
5. How the Game Works and Changes to the Rules
The basic mechanics of the game are as follows:
- You enter your prediction for the published matches.
- Predictions are locked at a defined moment before the match kick-off; once locked they cannot be changed.
- When a match is completed, predictions are scored according to the scoring rules in force at that time.
- Points are reflected in league and room standings; weekly events and bonuses may award additional points.
Game rules, scoring coefficients, events and lock times may change. Guess League is an evolving product and we reserve the right to change these elements in order to preserve balance and fairness. Significant changes are announced inside the application and, as a rule, apply to periods beginning after the announcement.
6. There Are No Prizes
This is one of the most explicit provisions of these Terms:
- Trophies, badges, points and standings are entirely symbolic and carry no economic value.
- There is no cash prize, no prize in kind, no gift voucher and no other material consideration.
- There are no deposits and no withdrawals; the Service contains no betting slips, odds or any comparable mechanism.
- The Service is free of charge; no payment is taken for participation.
For these reasons Guess League is not a game of chance or a betting service. See the Not Gambling page for details.
7. Continuity of the Service, Data Sources and the Right to Correct
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Service may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, cyber attacks, third-party service outages or events of force majeure.
Fixtures, squads, live events and match results are obtained from third-party data providers. This data may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect, and that is outside our control.
Right to correct: if scoring was carried out incorrectly because a match result arrived incorrectly, the affected predictions are re-scored once the correct result is known and standings are updated accordingly. Re-scoring may increase your points but may also decrease them, and trophies and standings may change as well. No vested right can be claimed on the basis of incorrect scoring, because under section 6 points have no economic value.
8. Suspension and Closure of Accounts
We may temporarily suspend or close your account in the following cases:
- engaging in any of the prohibited conduct in section 4;
- a finding that the age requirement in section 2 is not met;
- reasonable suspicion that the security of the account has been compromised;
- use that threatens the technical integrity of the Service;
- a legal obligation or a request from a competent authority.
The measure is chosen proportionately to the severity of the breach: a warning, a change of username, restricted room access, temporary suspension, or closure of the account. To the extent proportionate and where possible, we notify you of the measure and its reasons. If you consider the decision unjustified, you may object by writing to support@guessleague.net.
You may also close your account yourself at any time from the Delete account section inside the application. The effect of deletion on your data is explained in detail in the Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice; the action cannot be undone.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". No express or implied undertaking is given as to fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or freedom from error.
Guess League is not liable for damage arising from errors originating with data providers, third-party service outages, your internet access, your device, compromise of your account through your own fault, or the conduct of other users. The loss of points, standings, trophies or badges does not constitute compensable damage, since these have no economic value.
This section does not limit your rights under consumer protection legislation, nor liability for intent or gross negligence.
10. Changes to These Terms and Renewed Acceptance
These Terms may be updated over time. Every update is published under a new version label, and earlier versions remain accessible in the archive.
When a material change is published, you will be asked to accept the new version when you next open the application; you cannot continue into the application without accepting. If you do not wish to accept, you may delete your account or stop using the Service. A record is kept of which version you accepted and when.
11. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. If you are a consumer, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court at your place of residence, as granted by consumer legislation, is reserved.
Our single contact channel for all questions, notices and requests: support@guessleague.net.
12. Language
The Turkish version of these Terms prevails. The English version is a translation provided for convenience only. In the event of any difference or conflict between the two texts, the Turkish text applies.
